How was RI Voices developed? Who funds the project?
Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island and the Brown University School of Public Health partnered to create the RI Life Index. This partnership lead to the development of the RI Voices project. The survey is funded by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island.
How often will you contact me?
We will contact enrolled participants no more than 5 times throughout the year. Surveys will be sent to a person’s email. These surveys will take no more than 5 to10 minutes. Every time someone participates, they will get a gift card to say thank you. The amount of the gift card will be between $5 to $10 depending on how long the survey is.
How will you contact me?
We will send you an email with the link to participate.
I am interested but do not have an email account.
Currently, we are only sending the surveys by email. In the coming years, we hope to also be able to administer the surveys through other channels.
What languages will you offer the survey in?
In the first year, we will only be able to offer the survey in English and Spanish. In the coming years, we hope to offer the survey in other languages.
What’s in it for me?
To say thank you, you will get between $5 to $10 gift card for each survey you complete. More importantly, your input will drive positive change in our state, like influencing policies on housing affordability and educational quality.
How do you decide which topics to cover?
The topics are decided by the RI Life Index Coalition which includes organizations dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Rhode Islanders. Read more about our coalition members here.
Will someone be able to identify me from the data?
No. We collect enough responses from a diverse group of individuals from all over the state that someone would not be able to trace your responses back to you.
